Tips for recognizing Asian flags

Sort the flags by symbol first. A red disc on white is Japan, while a red disc on green is Bangladesh. Crescent and star flags include Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, so check the background color and extras such as Pakistan's white stripe and Malaysia's stripes.

Red, white, black and green mean a Pan-Arab flag: Jordan, Kuwait, the UAE, Iraq and Yemen. Look at the layout to separate them. Red flags with yellow stars are China (five stars) and Vietnam (one). The only odd shape in the quiz is Nepal. Remember that Indonesia is red over white to keep it apart from Monaco's twin. More on the Asian flags page.
