What the Turkmenistan flag emoji means

The Turkmenistan flag emoji shows a green field with a red vertical carpet stripe, a white crescent and five stars. The stripe holds five traditional carpet patterns, called guls. People use it for national pride and for posts about carpets and Akhal-Teke horses. Independence Day is 27 September (1991), Neutrality Day is 12 December and Flag Day is 19 February.
