The Vietnam flag emoji is a red field with a large yellow five-pointed star in the center. It is used for the national football team, travel, and national events. National Day, 2 September, recalls the 1945 declaration of independence, and Reunification Day, 30 April, marks 1975. Tet, the lunar new year, is the biggest festival, and red flags are everywhere.

How to type the Vietnam flag emoji

On iPhone or Android, open the emoji keyboard and search for “Vietnam” or “flag”. On a Mac, press Ctrl+Cmd+Space and type the same word. On Windows 10 and 11, press Win + . and search there, but Windows shows the letters VN instead of a flag, because Microsoft's emoji font has no country flags.
