What the Armenia flag emoji means

The Armenia flag emoji shows the red, blue and orange horizontal tricolor. Armenians post it on Independence Day on 21 September, on Constitution Day on 5 July, and on Victory and Peace Day on 9 May. On 24 April it appears in remembrance of the victims of the 1915 genocide. It also turns up for football, chess and travel to Yerevan.

How to type the Armenia flag emoji

On iPhone and Android, open the emoji keyboard and search for "Armenia" or "flag". On a Mac press Ctrl+Cmd+Space and search the same word. On Windows, press Win + . to open the panel; Windows does not draw flag emojis, so you will see the letters AM instead of a flag.
